Location – Achill Island

The festival seeks to showcase time gone by in Achill, with the exclusive showing of archival footage by the Irish Film Institute who will travel especially for the event to provide these films.

The festival will show documentaries such as the European Premiere of the boxing documentary about Johnny Kilbane, whose family came from Achill.

The animation studios who are giving their time to organise a workshop for local children and to use that to explore their own heritage, history and folklore aim to solidify the love for the area.

Through film events around the island,  we can showcase the gorgeous landscapes to attendees.
